There is a country road I used to walk to get to school. I'd kick up the dirt until I formed a cloud that surrounded me, then finally, I would feel protected. There is a gravel road I used to walk that would lead me to a stable. At night I would duck under the wire fence and get as close to the horses as I could, before backing away. There is a paved road I used to walk that would lead me to my friend Abe's house, and he would answer his door with sleepy eyes, boxers and a t-shirt. This is Poetry.

The thoughtful swish of a whispering windshield against the pelt of needles, cool sheets of moisture falling from beyond nowhere. Soft blue powder coats a black sky as her blue eyes follow the silver orb that smiles at her from a place she will never visit. The condensation of warm breath from damp lips against cold glass creates a film for her to capture the glowing ribbons of light as they stream by, total rapture as the soft glow seduces her. Roll to a stop.
